Here is a great way for dealers to increase sales and build lasting relationships with their customers at no initial cost to the consumer with minimal cost to the dealer!

An Echo dealer in northern Illinois is taking full advantage of the Echo and Shindaiwa 30-day free carburetor adjustment policy.

Used as a way to generate repeat business from their homeowner sales, the dealer promotes this policy as a “free service” each time they sell a new Echo unit.

To take advantage of this free service, the customer must schedule a service appointment within the 30-day window at the time of purchase.

To help drive this program, the dealer then provides a friendly reminder call roughly one week prior to the appointment. In some cases (depending upon the time of season & volume in the service department) this service is offered while the customer waits. The unit is quickly inspected with a tachometer. If a carburetor adjustment is required, the labor is covered under warranty by Echo or Shindaiwa. This is a great benefit exclusive to Echo and Shindaiwa dealers. 

Getting the customer back in the store opens more than just the showroom door. It allows the sales staff to review customer needs and offer items the customer may not have thought of at the time of the initial purchase. Fuel can also be tested at that time

This program has seen a 93% customer return rate and a 15% increase in oil, line, & accessory sales.
